 Installling ghost locally . Warning recived during install:
Upgrading Ghost involves replacing old files with the new files, and
restarting the server. However, as the database, image uploads and
custom themes are stored alongside Ghost in the content directory,
care should be taken to only replace the necessary files as explained at
http://support.ghost.org/how-to-upgrade/ .

It is highly recommended that you make a backup of your data before
upgrading. To backup all the data from your database, log into your
Ghost install and go to /ghost/debug/. Press the export button to
download a JSON file containing all of your data.

no sound in Papers Please

No sound at all, actually. First I installed alsa-utils, checked alsamixer master was not muted. Installed pulseaudio and pavucontrol. This gave me sound on youtube but not the game. Eventually found this tip in the hotline miami AUR comments: On x86_64 I had to install lib32-libpulse to get sound working. pdf to png/jpg/etc

Not often I learn something at work that I need to put on here. Anyway, imagemagick: convert -density 600 input_file.pdf output_file.png Gives me a lovely hi-def version of the image. Too hi, probs, but at least it's relatively easy to resize (down) once it's in the appropriate image format.

Crunchbang Changes

Added sftp://root@192.168.1.107/media shares  to ~/.gtk-bookmarks  to create a shortcut to pi media centre in the thunar sidebar (shortcut view only). Upon subsequent reboot that has disappeared, which I need to investigate. Added  KERNEL=="dm-*",ENV{UDISKS_PRESENTATION_HIDE}="1" to  /etc/udev/rules.d/99-dmapper-hide.rules to remove lvm partitions from the thunar sidebar. I was concerned that I'd have to comment this out and reboot if I wanted access to, say, my Arch install's home folder, but no fear: sudo lvdisplay /dev/linuxVG lists the lvm partitions (where lunuxVG is my volume group) sudo mount /dev/linuxVG/OS3-home /mnt/arch_home mounts the volume at a previously created directory. I also want to get rid of the unused Network shortcut, but the only way I've found so far involves recompiling thunar, which I can't be arsed with.
